KAK Family"GOTRA"
According to some scriptures most of the Brahamin families belong to
a Gotra indicating their
original parentage/lineage from one of the
seven Rishis (sapt rishis.)
GAUTAM was one of the seven rishis who in the
present yug shine bright
in the skies ( The Great Bear as per Western Astronomy.)
The Kak family Gotra is GAUTAM.
The
gotra is always mentioned after a persons name in rituals/yagnas
connected with birth,yagnopaveet, marriage,shradh,death
etc.
